Last time we discussed some of the signs that mommy is the one that needs the time out. Well, in reality, moms don't always have a lot of time, but you can still get a time out and fit in some YOU time, even if you only have a few minutes. Here are some great 10 minute time outs that you can easily fit into your day. Pick a few that you like and then start using them. You'll be amazed at how much better you feel.

Time Out #1 - Write in a Journal - Even if you only take 10 minutes to do this, it's a healthy way to spend a bit of time. Sometimes just writing out your feelings has a wonderful healing quality.

Time Out #2 - Spend Some Time Reading - You don't have to have an hour to escape to another land - the land of reading. Whether it's a book or a favorite magazine, just 10 minutes of reading can give you the recharge that you need.

Time Out #3 - Meditate or Pray - Both are great for clearing the mind. Letting go of worries and difficulties and giving them to a "Higher Power" can make all the difference. Of course this doesn't mean that you should only spend 10 minutes a day praying, but it is a great way to take some time out to recharge as a busy mommy. Don't forget - Prayer is Powerful!

Time Out #4 - Spend 10 Extra Minutes in the Shower or Bath - Usually as moms we tend to rush through a shower because we have so much to do. Well, add 10 minutes to your shower time. Take the time to actually pamper yourself in the shower a bit. You'll get out feeling more refreshed when you don't hurry your way through the shower.

Time Out #5 - Connect with Friends - With so many ways to connect with people today, spend 10 minutes reconnecting with an old friend. Maybe give a friend a call, spend some time IM'ing a friend, or get on your Facebook (my personal favorite) and catch up with friends. There's something about talking to old friends that just really has a way of making your day better.
